Ephemeral Hues Series

In this series of experimental darkroom landscape prints, titled Ephemeral Hues, I skipped washing a group of my prints in the stop and/or fixing solution to see how the photographs change over time when the paper remains sensitive to light. This resulted in unexpected color hues from black and white darkroom processes. To create this body of work I photographed a roll of film while hiking and printed a series of images where some are developed conventionally and some are unfixed. I am curious to subvert the traditional darkroom chemistry process and document these prints in ephemeral stages as evolving works in a way that mirrors changing landscapes.
