Personal & Academic Exploration of Photography
Outside of photographing clients, I photograph bodies of work that allow me to engage in novel artistic processes and challenge the way I think about the world. While pursuing my degree in Visual Arts I have been exploring the ways in which studying art history can inform my photographs, as well as translating between analog and digital mediums as I become more familiar with film and darkroom processes. My personal photography projects revolve around themes of family, home, and self-identity. I navigate my life by capturing images that relate to how I feel in different places, whether it is taking photos on a visit to my grandparents houses or exploring my identity through contemplative self-portraits.
